Let’s discuss Gloria Alvarez’s video that went viral last week. Gloria Alvarez became popular by speaking out against socialism and communism. I’ve noticed that many of my conservative Christian and Catholic friends have only seen her “anti-communist” side because she appeared on Prager U and John Stossel’s podcast.
For this reason, I’m writing this article to warn about her, and I’ve provided subtitles for the video for those who don’t speak Spanish.
Gloria has some very strange ideas in the name of “freedom” because she identifies as a “libertarian.” She supports unlimited freedom and has a marked anti-Catholic stance. Let’s take a look.
In this unfortunate video, Gloria wonders why over 20% of the population today identifies as part of the LGBTQ+ community. The conclusion she reaches is that there is now more acceptance and freedom, comparing “the life of a homosexual in the closet” to the slavery that African Americans endured. She even goes so far as to claim that women were enslaved.
I would like to ask Gloria how it is that in Africa, in countries where there is no white population oppressing them, they are not a world power. It’s strange. This happens when history is unknown, and erroneous conclusions are drawn.
It doesn’t occur to Gloria that young people identify as LGBTQ+ due to indoctrination through entertainment media and large corporations that influence impressionable minds with their colorful flags. Even the public education system is promoting the use of pronouns for school-age children!
But wait, Gloria surpasses herself! She then suggests that repressed homosexuals became priests to abuse children!!! In her eagerness to attack the Catholic Church, she insinuates that homosexuals are pedophiles? And she says this while wearing a shirt supporting the gay community!
Lastly, Gloria talks about diverse families, including single mothers, who actually have broken families. A widow cannot be compared to a single mother. We cannot consider two men or two women raising a child as a family.
Then she talks about “cosmic families”? Comparing the friends you meet while backpacking to a family is hasty, to say the least. A father or a mother would give their life for their child. I’m not so sure the same can be said for my friends. Would they be willing to die for me? I would put myself in harm’s way to protect my daughter from a bullet. But would a friend do the same for her?
What we should promote is the natural family: mother, father, and children, where the father loves, respects, protects, and provides for his family, and the mother loves, respects, nurtures, and cares for her family. And children have healthy male and female role models, raised in love and stability.
In conclusion, pride leads to destruction. Proverbs 16:18.
And unlimited freedom is not a good idea. 1 Corinthians 10:23.
In conclusion, Gloria is lost in a perverse ideology. Let’s pray for her; she needs the light of truth that only Jesus Christ possesses.
